After
reading the article on "WAKATOBI ANDALKAN WISATA SELAM DAN INDUSTRI KREATIF" on http://derinta-derinta.blogspot.com/ , I did some further research of my own. From every visitor
that has visited Wakatobi were always satisfied and always leaves them with an
unforgettable memory which makes them want to come back. So, what makes Wakatobi
this popular? Well…
Quoted from
the article above: “According to Director General, Wakatobi marine waters in the
central triangle of the world's
coral reefs, has a natural beauty under the sea is amazing.”
Its location makes Wakatobi have a beautiful and
exceedingly romantic setting. Far off the beaten path of tourism, it offers a
supremely relaxing tropical vacation, truly an Island Dream. Also waters of the
Wakatobi National Park feature a diversity of coral reefs and marine life with 750
species of coral reefs, out of a total of 850 species worldwide, which is
comparatively higher than other regions in the world.
Furthermore,
making Wakatabi more successful are the four things that
must be addressed: infrastructure that supports tourism as
a marina, hotel, diving manager and so on; its
natural beauty should be maintained with due regard to the
principles of sustainable environmental
management and sustainability; people
must be friendly and
able to become tour guides who can explain to the tourists about natural beauty under the sea in the Wakatobi region; and lastly, must create conditions
that can make the tourists feel
comfortable to come
and stay to stay
in Wakatobi.
With all of
these elements together, Wakatobi becomes an unbeatable opportunity for
adventurous dive travelers and snorkelers.
In conclusion, I think it is because of its consistent
and fixed system that makes Wakatobi welcoming in each of their guest’s eyes.
The quote below shows how satisfied this guest was with Wakatobi and its
service:
“One of the most impressive experiences of this trip was the over the top service provided by Wakatobi and Island dreams. I am not speaking about the service at the resort, while that was exceptional, what really caught my attention was the service provided pre and post trip. I was met at the airport by a smiling and very helpful Wakatobi staff member who handled my visa, handled my luggage, guided me on conversion tables and tipping, and handled my connection to a driver to a hotel unaffiliated with Wakotobi. The same level of attention also occurred on the back end of my trip. This level of service to accommodate my travel needs with services unaffiliated with diving or Wakatobi was the icing my trip. It made my trip stress free and delightful."
I really
hope Wakatobi can maintain its beauty, as long as the government
can provide socialization and cooperation with the local communities. More
importantly, the local people themselves must also be aware to help develop the
area without damaging the ecosystem and its biodiversity. The
concept of the creative economy is also very nice to support the economy of
communities around the tourist areas.
