1. Buatlah suatu rancangan penelitian penerimaan devisa dari sektor pariwisata negara/daerah tempat tinggal anda. Buatkan kerangka kerja penelitian anda yang memuat data-data apa saja yang diperlukan, dimana memperolehnya, tahapan dalam proses analisisnya serta hal-hal lain yang menurut pendapat anda bisa dimasukan kedalam kerangka kerja tersebut ?

One sector that can be relied upon as sources of foreign exchange is tourism sector. West Java is set as one of Travel destination, the tourism activities in this area has good potential to support regional development. At the very least, be relied upon as a source of state revenue.

 The number of tourists visiting the tourist attraction in West Java is as many as 25,873,118 where 722,715 (2.79 percent) are visits of foreign tourists and 25,150,403 (97.21 percent) are local tourists. Tourists visit in West Bandung regency are as many as 278 039, and followed by the District. Subang is as many as 208,447 visits. Most tourists visit a lot happening in the district. Bandung has as many as 3,965,258 and the District. Subang has as many as 2,852,513 visits.

     a. Approximate methods (Metode Perkiraan)
I would use this method for this research as it is the way that is based on estimates of the pattern and level of economic group level, for example: Businessmen, ordinary employees, students, pensioners and public figure; and then taking into consideration factor of nationality of the incoming tourists.

Ø  The things that are known within the estimated foreign exchange revenue
       a. Number of tourists
            Travelers who are known as foreign tourists and domestic tourists.
       b. Average length of stay of tourists
            To know the average length of all the tourists in an area or country of a tourist destination 
       c. The average tourist spending per day
            To differentiate the average spending of foreign tourists and domestic tourists per day.
 d. Regional income
            Figuring out the regional income (Banten province) in the year specified.
       e. Value Added
           Know the size of the addition value product or service because it uses raw materials in the form of goods or services originating from the same place. In this case is in the Province of Banten.

Ø  The Province of Kopo has a population of 8.31 million inhabitants. In 1993, the numbers of foreign tourists' who visit this province were as many as 678 542 people. Meanwhile, tourists who come to tourist activities in this region have the total of 1.13486 million tourists. According to Kopo ‘s tourist office the tendency of tourism activities in this area are as follows:
a. Average spending by foreign tourists per day is 75 U.S. $, while tourists have an average expenditure per day for 25.000
b. The average length of stay of foreign tourists is 10 days, while local tourists stays for 5 days.
c. The added value of Kopo Province is 45%
d. Regional income of the province is known as Rp.1.625.000.000.000,00
e. In 1993 a U.S. $ comparable to Rp.2.500, -

       The amount of Rp. 633 750 000 000, -, or 39% of regional revenues were contributed by the tourism sector activities in the province of Kopo in the Year 1993. And this is a fairly large number of 1993 and will likely be larger in subsequent years.
